Zambia’s Government Printers will not bid for printing of ballot papers for the 2021 general election.

Works and Supply Minister, Sylvia Chalikosa says this is because Government Printers is not yet ready for such an exercise.

Chalikosa , however, says government is working on modalities to recapitalise Government Printers.

She has explained that government will engage in a Public Private Partnership -PPP- initiative, to ensure Government Printers meets the requirements for printing of ballots.

Chalikosa was speaking in an interview with ZNBC news in Lusaka .
