Zambians for Unity, Peace, and Development have saluted the Patriotic Front for banning members and aspiring candidates from disbursing cash at public gatherings as a means of mobilizing electorates.

PF National Mobilisation Chairperson Richard Musukwa said all forms of public display of cash during meetings is against the ideological foundations of PF as a pro poor party and directed that all forms of support to churches, marketeers and other interest groups should be in the form of projects and welfare programmes.

Meanwhile ZUPED Vice President Ronnie Jere told Power FM news that it is disappointing that some aspiring candidates from the ruling party were dishing out cash which is a clear violation of the electoral code of conduct.

Mr. Jere however commended the PF leadership for banning the practice, saying it is a very progressive move.
