The Human Rights and Amnesty organisation -HRA- has applauded President Edgar Lungu’s decisions to terminate and reshuffle Permanent Secretaries.

HRA Executive Director Frederick Chinsala says the amnesty stands in solidarity with President Lungu.

Chinsala says President Lungu should continue taking punitive measures on institutions and their irregularities.

He has since congratulated and encouraged the new Permanent Secretaries to carry out their mandate to the citizenry and the government.

Chinsala has further advised Law Enforcement Agencies to carry out their mandate and ensure that the law is enforced.

He said this in an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka.

On Tuesday, President Lungu terminated contracts of seven permanent secretaries and elevated five directors to permanent secretary positions.
