Potential voters in Lwandi Ward, Mbala are giving up to register as voters due to slow pace of registration. The Center only has one registration kit

Our reporter only found one registration kit at the center. So far, the officers at the Center said they only registered 296 voters under phase 3 within the last 3 days. On Day 1, only 87 were registered. On the second day, only 101 registered and 108 were registered on the third day.

According to figures tallied by Zibani Zambia, Mbala Central Constituency has registered a total of 25, 875 voters against from the time the registration process was commenced.

Zibani Zambia reporters also found both the ruling Patriotic Front leaders led by councillors and the United Party for National Development leaders ferrying people to registration centers to register. These leaders who have been interviewed have complained of the slow process of registration in the Constituency owing to the low number of kits and lack of adequate Assistant Registration Officers at Centers.

Efforts to get a comment from Chief Electoral Officer Nshindano proved futile by press time.
