Former catholic archbishop, Telesphore Mpundu says those that think and say there is wind of change in the country are labouring under a delusion.
In an interview, Archbishop Mpundu says the only time there has been a wind of change in Zambia was in 1991 and 2011 when Presidents Frederick Chiluba and Michael Sata won the presidential votes respectively.
The former catholic cleric adds that despite the economic challenges that Zambia is going through as a result of the global pandemic which has affected all countries in the world, Zambians do not seem hungry for change of political leadership.
” Anyone who thinks and says there is wind of change is just labouring under a delusion. Atleast I have not seen that myself…maybe you have. Notwithstanding the challenges we are faced with economically, a bigger chunk of the population seem resolved to retain the ruling party, explained Archbishop Mpundu.
