Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Mwila said the party will not adopt civil servants who want to contest 2021 elections but have not heed the directives by Secretary to Cabinet to resign before November 30, 2020.
Addressing the press yesterday, Mr. Mwila reminded Civil Servants intending to contest in next year’s general elections to resign in line with the directives by Secretary to Cabinet and has assured that the PF will support those that will resign to join them.
And Mr. Mwila has disclosed that the ruling party will continue to engage the Electoral Commission of Zambia on the need to address the many challenges facing the mobile voter registration exercise.
Low staffing levels and faulty or inadequate kits have led to several challenges in the process among them, the slow manner in which the exercise is being conducted.
Mr Mwila has however called on PF members and sympathizers countrywide not to be discouraged but find time to register as voters in order to participate in next year’s elections.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mwila has announced that the party will next month hold provincial conferences in Southern and Western provinces
