Justice Given Lubinda Minister says the Public Order Act will not be reviewed before the 2021 general election.
Mr. Lubinda says reviewing of politically sensitive laws like the Public order Act requires adequate information and consultations from various stakeholders.
He stressed that the opposition UPND lost the opportunity to have the Act amended when various bills were presented to Parliament such as the Electoral Act and Constitutional Amendment bill number 10 of 2019 among others.
Mr Lubinda says when the Public Order Act came to payment the UPND called for its deferment because they were not ready.
He was speaking in Parliament today when he presented a Ministerial statement on delimitation of Constituencies and Public Order Act.
And Mr. Lubinda blamed the UPND members of parliament for been inconsistency on the matter.
He however told Parliament that the review process will commerce after the 2021 general election.
