The construction of a 10-million kwacha mini-hospital in Mushindamo district is nearing completion.

North-Western Provincial Deputy Permanent Secretary, Emmanuel Chihili who inspected the project is satisfied with the quality of works.

Chihili said the project is a clear demonstration of President Edgar Lungu’s commitment of taking development to all parts of the country.

He said the project which is 65 percent complete is expected to be commissioned in May, this year.

And Provincial Health Director, Charles Msiska said the mini hospital will have all the equipment with trained health personnel which he said will reduce referral cases to Solwezi general hospital.

Meanwhile, Mushindamo District Administrative Officer, Oscar Mugala said the facility has come at a right time when people in the area have been accessing health care services from Solwezi which is about 85 kilometers away.

And Suscon Construction Solution Limited project site Manager, Adam Tembo said works are expected to be completed by month-end of April this year and hand over the facility to government.
