Republican President His Excellency Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu yesterday welcomed the proposed trade mission and expo of Zambian goods to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The President said his government would work tirelessly hard to ensure all trade barriers between Zambia and DRC are alleviated.

The Head of State was speaking when he received a report from Luapula Province Minister Nickson Chilangwa and Water Development, Sanitation and Environmental Protection Minister Raphael Nakachinda on the Ministers’ recently undertaken trip.

Luapula Province Minister Nickson Chilangwa briefed the Head of State of Luapula Provincial Administration’s plans to expose Zambian investors and producers to the DRC lucrative market.

Road Development Agency (RDA) Chief Executive Officer Eng. George Manyele and Luapula Province Investments Coordinator Joseph Maopu accompanied the two Ministers to State House.

Preparations for the trade mission have since started.
