ZAMTEL has launched two communication towers in Msanzala constituency bringing the total number of towers in the area to seven.

The new towers are located in Misolo and Ukwimi area.

Speaking during the launch Zamtel chief executive officer Sidney Mupeta said the two towers are part of the 1009 communication towers that are being set up under the phase two of the GRZ communication towers project.

Mupeta said Zamtel has delivered 790 communication towers adding that the remaining ones will be completed before the end of the year.

Chief Sandwe of the Nsenga people in Lusangazi district said he was grateful to President Edgar Lungu for the gesture.

He said from the time Lusangazi was declared a district a lot of things have happened in the area such as connecting power to various areas, sinking of boreholes and roads are being worked on.

Msanzala MP Peter Daka appealed to the people in the constituency to vote for President Lungu in the August 12 elections so that he could complete the developmental programmes in the new district.

Daka said President Edgar Lungu was doing a lot to improve the lives of the people of Msanzala.
