Lusaka Central Member of Parliament Margaret Mwanakatwe says she will respect the will of the people and remain loyal to the Patriotic Front if she is not re-adopted as the party’s candidate in this year’s general election.

Mwanakatwe said in an interview that the party is bigger than any individual and the will of the people must be respected.

“We want a person who will win votes for the PF and ensure that President Edgar Lungu is re-elected convincingly. If I am popular, the central committee will settle for me again, but if I am not, why should I be chosen?” she said.

Mwanakatwe was elected MP in 2016.
