On rural development, the PF manifesto states that:
“the Patriotic Front government shall continue to pursue it’s program of rural development and ‘taking the cities’ to the rural areas.
In line with the 7th national development plan the government has invested in rural road networks with emphasis on feeder roads to improve access to markets for rural entrepreneurs.
In 2017 the PF government secured US$200 million from International Development Association (IDA) to improve selected rural roads in 6 provinces whilst the PF government financed the other 4.
This project had ensured that at least 460,000 people in the targeted rural areas benefited from the improved road connectivity to schools, markets for their produce, health centers and jobs for the community, not only so but insuring that Zambia is transformed into a regional food basket.
But someone will ask what the government has done
