THE Zambia Police in Lusaka have warned and cautioned the UPND leader, Mr Hakainde Hichilema for the offence of Conspiracy to defraud contrary to section 313 of the Penal Code, Cap 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
It is alleged that Mr Hichilema who introduced himself as a community worker based in Lusaka whilst acting together with other unknown persons, fraudulently purchased a property, Sub-division “A” of farm number 1924 in Kalomo district belonging to the late Samson Siatembo, purporting that at the time of purchase, the Administrator of the property in question consented to the sale by appending her signature when in fact not.
This is alleged to have occurred at unknown date in 2004.
Meanwhile two people were this morning assassinated in unknown circumstances as the Police were trying to disperse some unruly UPND cadres. The assassination has raised questions among politicians as to the exact identity of the assassins.
The Police and Minister of Home Affairs had advised people to stay away from Mr. Hichilema’s questioning for fear of breakdown of law and order but Mr. Hichilema still carried with him multitudes of unruly cadres.
Patriots for Progress President, Sean Tembo wondered how two bullets could have killed a single person without any other injuries occasioned to others. He has since called for an investigation into the matter.
Some information suggest the assassins of the two victims were among those who accompanied the UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema and the ploy is to cause chaos and discontent
