Minister of Transport and Communications Mutotwe Kafwaya has advised the UPND to formulate a manifesto for 2021 to 2026.
And Kafwaya has urged UPND members to put pressure on the National Management Committee (NMC) to create a manifesto which will be a basis of their 2021 general elections promises to the people of Zambia.
Kafwaya who is also Patriotic Front (PF) Lunte Member of Parliament has told Pan African Radio News in an interview that several times he has guided the leadership of the largest opposition political party in the country to form a manifesto but to no avail.
Kafwaya also appeals the UPND not to premise their campaign message for next year’s general polls on the 2016 manifesto because that period has already been taken by President Edgar Lungu and the PF.
Meanwhile, Kafwaya is wondering why the UPND have failed to produce an alternative National Budget as they did last year.
He says if UPND have no capacity to produce an alternative National Budget for 2021 they should copy and paste the one produced by President Sean Tembo of the Patriots for Economic Progress ( PeP ).
