President Edgar Lungu will receive over 51 percent of votes in the August 12 elections, a retired Zambia Army captain, Lawrence Nyambe has said.

Capt Nyambe also said the Patriotic Front will capture a sufficient number of the parliamentary seats to control the House.

He said in a statement that President Lungu’s victory would be as a result of the majority of the voters’ appreciation of his performance and wanting him to continue.

Capt Nyambe said President Lungu hit the ground running and took infrastructural development to a level never seen before in the country.
