Patriotic Front Eastern Province Chairman Andrew Lubusha has rubbished the allegations by United Party for National Development (UPND) the party is collecting voter’s cards from the people who recently registered as voters in villages.
UPND Constituency Vice Chairperson Leonard Banda had accused the PF leadership in Chadiza of going round in villages telling the people who registered as voters to register their names with the party in order to receive different empowerments from the government.
Mr Banda said that it is strange for the party to give books to headmen to record all registered voters with the aim of selecting the people to offer help in the district.
Mr Banda said the PF should stop using traditional leaders in political activities to avoid dividing the people in villages.
But when contacted for a comment, Mr. Lubusha told Zibani Zambia that the allegations are rubbish and from defeated minds.
He said PF leaders in all districts has registers of party members who registered as voters in the 2021 general elections.
Mr. Lubusha said Mr. Banda is supposed to be more worried of politically inclined chiefs like Mukuni than headman in Eastern Province who are non-political.
He said the PF will continue to work hard to win more members in the party adding and invited Mr Banda to join PF as UPND has nothing to offer to the Province and the country.
