Chief Matipa of the Bisa people of Chilubi District has praised government for delivering development in Chilubi and other parts of the country.
Chief Matipa has since pledged that the people of Chilubi will support President Edgar Lungu in the August general election.
He says the people of Chilubi are also in support of the party’s decision to endorse President Lungu as its candidate during the August 12 elections.
The traditional leader said this when Northern Province Permanent Secretary Royd Chakaba paid a courtesy call on him at his palace in Chilubi.
Chakaba was in the area to check on the projects that are funded by the Transforming Landscapes for Resilience and Development, tralard.
Earlier, Chakaba said President Lungu wants to work with everyone to develop the country.
He also urged the Chief to support the Tralard project for it to succeed.
