Senior Chief Mushota of the Chishinga people of Kawambwa District says first President Kenneth Kaunda will be remembered for his tremendous contributions in the agriculture sector such as the establishment Kawambwa tea plantation in Kawambwa District.

Senior Chief Mushota told ZANIS that it was during Dr. Kaunda’s reign that Kawambwa tea plantation was founded thereby creating job opportunities and reducing poverty at household level among the people of Kawambwa.

The Senior Chief has since commended President Edgar Lungu for promoting Dr. Kaunda’s legacy by improving the agriculture sector.

He said the revamping of Kawambwa Tea Company is one such example of what President Lungu has done.
